This exceptional washed coffee comes from Raro Boda Kebele in Ethiopia’s Guji Zone, cultivated at elevations between 1,900 and 2,300+ meters and processed with remarkable precision at the Raro Boda Wet Mill. Carefully hand-picked ripe cherries are gently depulped using a Penagos eco-pulper before undergoing a controlled 48–72 hour underwater fermentation in ceramic-tiled tanks, creating a cleaner and more consistent fermentation environment. After fermentation, the parchment is thoroughly washed, density-sorted and soaked in clean spring water before being carefully dried on raised African beds for 10–14 days, protected from intense midday sunlight to preserve its brightness and clarity. This meticulous washed process is designed to express the coffee’s terroir and varietal character with exceptional purity. The result is a beautifully clean and vibrant cup, opening with sweet dried apricot, developing into refreshing lemonade and ripe berries, and finishing with the elegant, bergamot-like character of Earl Grey tea. A refined Ethiopian specialty coffee with remarkable clarity, delicate complexity and a long, aromatic finish.
